Bespoke landscape management & Expert Tree Care

Coastal Garden Services was founded in 2012 by Andy Walker after a ten year career in the Fire & Rescue Service. Andy was keen to seek out a new challenge and retrained at Bicton College in Exeter, securing an RHS Level 3 Diploma in Horticulture.

Starting off with grass cutting and weeding, Andy quickly gained a reputation for great ideas and importantly, following up on all enquiries.

Customers wanted fences, decking or full-blown garden renovations and each request was thoroughly researched, priced clearly and delivered to a high specification.

Today the business is thriving and includes several large commercial contracts in addition to a steady stream of private customers. Andy continues to undertake regular training in new exciting skills and is most happy harnessed to a tree.

He has a dedicated team to support him; we take pride in our hard-working staff and ensure this is recognised at our summer and Christmas staff parties. We also have a preferred list of regular suppliers, who are now referring their customers to Coastal Garden Services.

Forestry First Aid training provided by Hi-Line (March 2025)

Our team attended in-depth Forestry First Aid training which included:

Responsibilities and reporting
First aid kit selection
Top to toe survey and casualty management
Recovery position
CPR and defibrillator use
Bleeding control, including catastrophic bleeds and haemostat and tourniquet use
Crush injuries
Fractures and spinal injuries
Extremes of heat and cold
